The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing business strategies, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving growth and profitability. Communication excellence in negotiations and in depth understanding in business and strategy is crucial. The Business Director will work closely with senior management to align business objectives in tandem with company goals.The Business Director reports directly to the General Manager of the agency\'s production hub, Prodigious Malaysia and will work closely with the senior suits and team members across the department and agency to embed behaviors and actions that unite agency organizations in focusing on revenue growth and managing clients as assets of the business. The rightful candidate will be managing the client servicing team within Prodigious and oversee overall agency\'s clients.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the production hub\'s goals.
  • Lead strategic planning processes and ensure alignment with overall PDG and Groupe\'s vision.
  • Identify and pursue new production related business opportunities to expand the hub\'s market presence.
  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and productivity is optimal.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline production processes which includes agility, speed and along with precision and accuracy.
  • Develop and manage the production budgets with innovative strategies in mind resulting in smart costings and financial measures.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost control parameters.
  • Prepare regular financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of managers and staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention to build a high-performing team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Address client needs and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement business development plans.
  • Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that the production hub adheres to health and safety regulations.
QualificationsREQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to provide comprehensive planning and have the understanding of production focused business models.
  • Be able to convince clients through solid production business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to effectively listen to clients\' requests and needs and use it as advantage to curate clients requests into effective solutions.
  • Possess a broad understanding of ever evolving industry to identify opportunities for improvement and subsequent implementation of plans.
  • Must be an excellent communicator, be present to clients and speak well with good sense of business and strategy knowledge.
  • Ability to establish and facilitate effective working relationships with all levels of agency personnel with varied personalities while holding professional presence.
  • Ability to gain an in-depth knowledge of client\'s business needs and workflow and navigate agency organizational structures in order to understand issues and facilitate resolution.
  • Strong process/project management skills with the ability to manage and multitask at any given point in time.
  • Ability to quickly identify root causes of issues, fix, organize and prioritize multiple project and tasks deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively assign responsibilities to team members to maximize resources and track those delegated actions to completion.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, management, marketing or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).
  • English as first language is a must. Other languages/dialects will be a surplus.
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably within the production or advertising industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing business operations and driving growth preferably in a related production or agency field.
