Job Title: Chargeman BODepartment: Facilities ManagementReports to: Facilities ManagerLocation: Johor BahruJob SummaryThe Chargeman BO is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment within the facility. This role involves supervising electrical installations, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.Key Responsibilities * Electrical Maintenance and Repair

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, switchgear, generators, and lighting systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Compliance and Safety

• Ensure all electrical systems comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Supervision and Coordination

• Oversee the work of electricians and other maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule and prioritize maintenance activities.
• Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Prepare and submit reports on electrical system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
• Project Management

• Assist in planning and executing electrical projects, including installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
• Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and restore normal operations.
• Participate in emergency drills and training sessions.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Possesses a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid Chargeman BO certificate issued by the relevant authority.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and supervision, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, components, and safety standards. Proficiency in the use of electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and rectify electrical issues effectively.
• Experience in planning and managing electrical projects, including installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Ability to respond promptly and effectively to electrical emergencies and participate in emergency drills and training.
