Restaurant cooks preparing main dishes are responsible for tasks including setting up workstations, prepping and measuring ingredients, cooking food using various methods, ensuring high quality and consistency, plating and garnishing dishes, maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards, operating and cleaning kitchen equipment, managing ingredient stock and preventing waste, and collaborating with the kitchen team to meet service demands.
