Job Description

To ensure the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in

support of all other. Departments, supply utilities and services as required to the

entire Hotel operation and maintenance equipment's, building and ground in good

operation condition.

OBJECTIVES

To assume full responsibility for the cost-effective operation of the Engineering Department. To prepare the annual and revised Engineering budget in close co-ordination with the Financial Controller and management, commensurate with operational requirements of the property. To keep accurate records and monitor closely all Engineering budget expenditures, and to ensure that the budget is adhered to and costs strictly controlled. To allocate and countersign all invoices chargeable to the Engineering budget before being processed and charged. To establish an efficient system for the control and verification of all fuel deliveries to the premises. To ensure the repair works being carried out in most economical and effective manner. To supervise closely all engineering personnel in the performance of their duties. To delegate duties and responsibilities, as required, to the Assistant Maintenance Manager. To develop and implement a Comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Programme for all equipment in the Hotel.
