Job Description

An established financial and investment Group, is looking for a highly dynamic, competent, of strong leadership individual to lead its Islamic financial strategic business unit ("SBU") subsidiary.
Duties and Responsibilities
Developing effective business plans, budgets and strategies in line with the Group's and SBU's vision, mission and objectives for consideration and approval by the Board;
Ensuring the SBU's operations and business are within the parameters and plans approved by the Board with clear and proper reporting of all material developments in the SBU's affairs, operations and business;
Growing the business and providing the Board with sufficient accurate information on a timely basis on the SBU, its operations, business and affairs, and in particular with respect to the SBU's corporate performance, financial condition, operations and prospects;
Managing the SBU's financial and other reporting mechanisms, and control and monitoring systems, to ensure that these mechanisms and systems capture all relevant material information on a timely basis, are functioning effectively and are founded on a sound basis of prudential risk management;
Communicating effectively and positively, on behalf of the SBU, with shareholders and stake holders;
Monitoring and interpreting the external environment in order to continually position the SBU in its markets to best advantage;
Providing a strong, clear leadership to the SBU's personnel toward the direction and the achievement of vision, mission, objectives and goals of the Group and SBU;

Requirements
Bachelor degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution
At least fifteen (15) year working experience in banking and financial institutions of which five (5) year in a senior position
Well-versed and highly knowledgeable in Islamic financing principles and structure
Vast networking among the government ministries, government agencies and government-linked corporations

The post is a contractual position. Remuneration package will be commensurate with experience, knowledge and skills, subject to the consideration of the Board of Directors.
