CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Taylor\'s Schools has been educating children for over 20 years and continues to nurture new generations of learners today. We are experts in international education and are the largest private K-12 schools group in Malaysia, currently with six schools in Malaysia and Singapore. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Taylor\'s Schools is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Operational Excellence, People & Culture and ICT of Taylor\'s Schools. Reporting to the President & CEO of Taylor\'s Schools, the COO shall oversee the operational functions of the Taylor\'s Schools by working closely with the respective Heads of Operations and Principals of the schools to provide strategic leadership in formulating, developing and executing operational strategies so as to ensure efficient operation at the schools.

Key Responsibilities

• The position shall function in a strategic role and will work with all Taylor\'sSchools to develop, implement and review overall strategic and operationalplans in line with the Schools\' development, growth and expansion.
• Work closely with the School Principals in this area, and where relevant withassigned key members of the Schools\' leadership team. Included in thisresponsibility will be the review of business, financial and operationalperformance; and KPIs of the Schools together with the School leadershipteam.
• The position shall undertake any other assigned special and/or adhocprojects/duties from time to time.

• Possess recognized Degree in business related field, MBA would be anadvantage

• At least fifteen (15) years of relevant working experience.
• At least eight (8) years of experience must be at senior management level.
• Working experience in the education industry is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of international school/educational institutionsoperations\xe2\x80\xa2Understand work operational systems, standards and practices in variousarea of supervision\xe2\x80\xa2Understand and interpret financial statements and reporting

• Proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom line orientation with highlevel of business acumen
• Ability to think strategically and anticipate future consequences and trends
• Excellent skills in problem solving, project management and creativeresourcefulness
• Strong people management skills with the ability to lead by example topromote and develop a strong team, and work with other functions to delivercompany\'s objectives.
• Ability to lead and work harmoniously with colleagues and other stakeholdersin a multicultural, international environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with superior command ofverbal and written English.
• Strong work ethic and possess the drive to work in a dynamic and demandingenvironment
