Responsible and accountable for overall security directions and security-related matters and activities at MAG Indian stations (BOM, DEL, HYD, MAA, BLR, COK etc) and complying with the required local regulators\' requirements i.e BCAS (India Bureau Civil Aviation Services) etc as to ensure Company\'s legal presence and operations are remain secured. Recognized by the local regulators as the focal point of contact / liaison officer on security related matters at Indian station on behalf of MAG.
Key Accountability
Accountable to ensure the successful implementation of all AVSEC directives issued by the local authorities and, responsible to supervise and coordinate security-related activities at the stations operated by MAG resulting to the smooth daily airline operations. This includes oversight and review the performance of security vendor servicing MAG i.e Air India.
Responsible for the development and effective implementation of the Indian Stations Security Program, guided by MAG HQ Security Program and directives from local regulators, and conducting periodic reviews of the Program to ensure it\'s current and keep abreast with AVSEC changes and development.
Engage and provide updates to the HQ Management Team on the pertinent threats and recommend appropriate counter-measure to ensure HQ is kept updated with the security situation at Indian stations.
Establish close engagement with HQ Management Team to identify and prioritise security related initiatives and activities which are consistent with Company\'s vision and mission for MAG security operations in India
Establish effective and sustainable relationships with the relevant local stakeholdersi.e regulators, law enforcement agencies, vendor, suppliers etc, which are founded on trust and mutual respect and which result in improved cooperation when needed
Responsible to develop plan and promote security awareness and vigilance to all MAG staff at Indian stations
Qualification & Experience
Degree in Aviation Security Management, Criminal justice, Criminology or any related field with at least 4 years working experience in aviation-related field of which 2 years in a leadership/management position
Skills & Knowledge
Excellent leadership skills with strong knowledge in protective security
Highly developed analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems, with excellent spoken/written communication skills
Good rapport with local authority and government agencies
Knowledge in international, regional and national civil aviation security requirements
Key Challenges
Constant changes in aviation security regulatory requirements.
Compliance with the new regulations and specific security requirements imposed by respective regulators e.g. BCAS India etc.
Ensuring the right talents in achieving goals
