Job Description


An exciting opportunity for an experienced Equipment Manager to join a global leading solar high-tech company in East Malaysia.

Ideally, the candidate can speak fluent Chinese. The client can offer a working visa for those who are from West Malaysia.

Responsibilities

  • To lead a group of equipment engineers and technicians to perform Equipment Installation,
Setup, Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM), Line Sustaining,
Troubleshooting, Modification and Upgrade, Improvement Projects and Spare Parts Control. * To coach and lead equipment section lead, engineers and technicians on daily tasks.
  • To manage equipment engineer and technician tasks allocation and priorities base on
departmental KPIs. * To manage manpower allocation according to production needs.
  • To manage, plan and review new tool set-up and installation within schedule.
  • To review and ensure equipment preventive and corrective maintenance are done correctly,
efficiently and is effective. * To ensure all monitor control plan are as per schedule using Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • To collaborate with process group to ensure continuous yield improvement. To identify key
improvement for process thru equipment hardware. * To ensure maximize OEE for equipment.
  • To do benchmarking with other factories for stability, cost and quality.
  • Main SAFETY driver and lead equipment SAFETY team activities with other department.
  • To be the main communicator with equipment vendor and review equipment specification with vendor.
  • To lead 2nd source cost saving and development projects.
  • To ensure spares and consumables tracking record system setup are effective.
  • To coach engineers on parts life time extension and waste minimization.
  • To ensure equipment Manufacturing Availability is met.
  • To ensure all maintenance and monitoring is with accordance to commits.
  • To ensure Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) are met.
  • To train engineers on equipment knowledge, technical skills, analytical skills and other soft skills.
  • To review equipment documents such as maintenance procedure and PM checklist, to ensure it is updated with correct and effective content.
Requirements
  • Equipment engineering experience in a HVM environment.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, or experienced in leading a group of engineer and technician in HVM preferred.
  • Hands on experience with equipment installation, setup and troubleshooting are added advantages.
  • Any related experience in silicon ingot growing machines will also be added advantage.
  • Any related experience in Facility systems will also be added advantage.
  • Able to read, edit and create engineering drawing / schematics.
  • Able to coach engineers on data analysis and generate result conclusions.
  • Strong knowledge of SPC and 8D concept.
  • Strong knowledge in PLC sy
