Job Description

• Responsible for the execution of civil and structural design involving the preparation of calculations and review of structural design drawings in accordance with customers\' specifications, applicable codes, standards, and other generally accepted practices.
• Assist in producing tender specifications, cost estimations, and design requirements.
• Generate MTOs based on drawings received from client.
• Undertake detailed design of piping and pipeline structures including hydraulics, installation methods, GRP pipe specifications in accordance to AWWA M45 or other methods, and design of other structures, e.g. pipe supports, thrust blocks, etc.
• Work with other engineering team members to develop design schemes for civil and structural works.
• Attend project/technical meetings with authorities, consultants, and contractors.
• Involve in project planning, implementation, and close monitoring of projects.
• Project coordination including liaising with sub-contractors, project owners, and consultants during construction.
• Train and support junior engineers.
• Having regular site visits and preparing site investigation reports.
• Preparing engineering documents such as specifications, procedures, instructions, etc.
• Perform value engineering for potential projects when necessary
• Calculate usage of resources, such as labour hours, materials and tools, and other costs to make a comparison with budgets and report prognosis to the Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager.
