Key Responsibilities

:
Develop, edit and optimize CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS or Calypso or equivalent.

Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and 3D CAD models to create accurate measurement routines. Perform first article, in-process and final inspections using CMM machine. Validate and verify CMM programs before release. Execute CMM measurement routines and analyze results. Inspect precision aerospace parts (machined, fabricated, cast or molded components). Generate detailed inspection reports (FAI/AS9102, capability studies, dimensional reports). Fully understand and apply ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles. Ensure CMM machines are maintained, calibrated and functioning accurately including perform routine checks, probe calibrations and machine verification using artifacts gauge blocks, rings or spheres. Troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to CMM operations. Improve measurement efficiency, cycle time and accuracy through program optimization. Recommend better fixtures, probing strategies or measurement techniques. Participate in process improvement projects, root cause analysis and quality investigations. Prepare and maintain CMM programs, CMM program change order and the CMM reports. Ensure all measurement results comply with aerospace requirements (AS9100, customer specs, FAIR). Provide technical support during new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up. Participate in MRB activities related to dimensional non-conformity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or related engineering field. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Process Engineering. Experience in aerospace, automotive, electronics, machining, or precision manufacturing is an advantage. Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 (FAI) and quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC). Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ability to travel 20-40%. Background in machining, assemblies and NADCAP special processes.
