Job Description
Commis 3 is an entry-level kitchen position responsible for assisting in basic food preparation and kitchen operations. The role supports senior kitchen staff to ensure smooth food production, cleanliness, and quality standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in basic food preparation such as cutting, chopping, peeling, and washing ingredients. Support Commis 1, Commis 2, and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen tasks. Ensure workstation is clean, organized, and well-stocked before and after service. Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food supplies. Label and store ingredients properly to maintain freshness and prevent waste. Learn and follow kitchen SOPs, recipes, and plating standards. Handle kitchen equipment safely and responsibly. Assist with dish plating and basic cooking tasks when instructed. Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils. Perform other duties as assigned by senior chefs and supervisors.
Requirements
Basic understanding of kitchen operations (training will be provided). Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. Team player, willing to learn and grow in the culinary field. Good hygiene and grooming standards. Physically fit to work in a kitchen environment (long standing hours, heat, lifting items).
Skills & Competencies
Basic knife and cutting skills (advantage but not required). Good communication and teamwork. Strong discipline and willingness to improve. Time management and multitasking ability.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
