Assisting in the identification, and management, of high-risk activities at each stage of the project, including liaising with the General Contractor, and working with subcontractors in forward safety planning and co-ordination of works activities.
Monitoring Microsoft's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assessment and evaluation across all construction projects.
Reviewing, and assessing, the health & safety implications of changes as they occur during construction.
Developing, and implementing, reporting and communications structures on Health & Safety management performance, for the project to enable accurate assessment and evaluation.
Actively engaging with all aspects of day-to-day Health & Safety management.
Attending planning and coordination reviews, for both day-to-day and longer-term safety planning for work activities.
Assisting in the evaluation of effectiveness of Health & Safety planning at site level.
Carrying out independent Health & Safety audits on all aspects of construction management.
Assessment of accidents, incidents, & near-miss reporting, including the evaluation of findings, and monitoring the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
On-going assessment of the resources provided by contractors to enable implementation of the contractor's safety management program.
Encouraging, and promoting, Health & Safety initiatives aimed at influencing positive safety behavior on the sites.
Encouraging, and promoting, contractor participation in structured Health & Safety awards schemes by recognized bodies.
Reporting to and taking direction from the company and their nominated representatives. It is emphasized that the proposed role of the client adviser is intended as collaborative and supporting that of the main contractor. The contractor will maintain responsibility for all aspects of safety
Requirements:
10+ years of work experience in safety management for construction, industrial or oil & gas projects; mission critical facility or electrical infrastructures experience a plus.
CIDB Green Book holder (SHO).
Construction training - OSHA 30.
NFPA 70E training - Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace Demonstrated experience related to civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and installations.
Knowledgeable in major regulations, industry codes and standards as well as construction materials, means, and methods Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation - Ability to interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), construction drawings etc.
