Job Purpose:
The role is responsible for creating unique, engaging written and video content for online and social publication in accordance with iCar\'s content strategy. Secondly, the role will assume all accountability for conducting, managing and organising regular test drives and reviews for the team.Key Accountabilities:Content Creation\xe2\x97\x8f To intimately understand the target (user) and what they want and to create written and video content based on the product and user needs\xe2\x97\x8f To keep abreast of automotive trends in Malaysian and the region to ensure this is communicated in written and video content delivery\xe2\x97\x8f To produce online written and video content that is in-line with the iCar \xe2\x80\x98Buying and Selling\' content strategy\xe2\x97\x8f To ensure all content created is in-line with the editorial tone and voice and direction of the team\xe2\x97\x8f To be responsible for developing and maintaining the team test drive calendar to ensure that the most important makes and models are reviewed\xe2\x97\x8f To ensure that all written and video content is written to the highest standards and that no grammatical, spelling or syntax errors are found in any published work, in print or online. No plagiarising.Content Engagement (Developing content that attracts users and drives traffic)\xe2\x97\x8f To ensure that all content is published in-line with user behaviour, which means producing timely (hourly, daily) and relevant content (what is important to our consumers)\xe2\x97\x8f To create written and video content that increases overall page views on the site and across all our social channels\xe2\x97\x8f To create engaging written and video content that results in increased UGC-interaction such as comments, time spent on the site, increasing the number of \xe2\x80\x98Likes\' etc.Content Promotion (Leveraging expertise and relationships to grow the brand)\xe2\x97\x8f To ensure that all content contains SEO best practices and key words to strengthen and maximise the site\'s organic traffic\xe2\x97\x8f To actively promote the brand and content via social media such as Facebook, Twitter etc.\xe2\x97\x8f To ensure that all content is written in an engaging manner so that it gets comments, shares and \xe2\x80\x98Likes\' from our users\xe2\x97\x8f To continuously build the brand and our relationships with clients, agencies and industry stakeholders through event attendance, participating in networking opportunities, etc.Stakeholder Management\xe2\x97\x8f Ensure open and clear communication with all members of the Media team, inter-department teams in Malaysia and also regional teams across the Group\xe2\x97\x8f Champion the Carsome Values\xe2\x97\x8f Take personal ownership and responsibility for ensuring professional conduct and delivering an outstanding level of service to our clients, agencies and partners at all times\xe2\x97\x8f Collaborate with the Management, undertake any other duties or projects that may be reasonably required by the Management or that may be reasonably foreseen through proactive role engagement and deal with matters arising in a timely and effective mannerRequirements:\xe2\x97\x8f Candidate must possess at least an SPM/STPM
\xe2\x97\x8f A very high level of understanding on mass market cars, both new and used
\xe2\x97\x8f Solid experience in online writing (ideally: 4+ years)
\xe2\x97\x8f Strong connections to car manufacturers, PR agencies and other relevant automotive bodies is good but not necessary
\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, high-performance driven environment
\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent command English, with strong grammar and able to different writing styles for different content format and audiences
\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent interpersonal skills
\xe2\x97\x8f Open to learning, using online CMS systems, Photoshop and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tik-tok
\xe2\x97\x8f Understanding of SEO is a plus
\xe2\x97\x8f Is creative and able to think-out-of the box
\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills
\xe2\x97\x8f Very high standard of accuracy, presentation and attention to detail
\xe2\x97\x8f IT- and internet-literate, especially in web research, MS Office applications and relevant databases
