In this role, : Site Name: Malaysia - Petaling Jaya Posted Date: Oct 13 2022 We are currently looking for a passionate Continuous Improvement Specialist (Finance Close & Control) to be based in our APAC Regional Hub at Petaling Jaya. In this role, you will be a part of the Close and Control (C&C) Global Process Owner (GPO) area with a primary focus on day-to-day process improvements and process standardization & harmonization. Jointly with the rest of CI's global team, you will be responsible for the local improvement needs, drive process efficiency, and translate them into global initiatives if required. You will cooperate closely with the Finance HUB's C&C team, the C&C GPO, and other support functions. Other Key Responsibilities: Analyze & improve processes in the scope of C&C Seek improvement opportunities, identify wastes in process, and propose solutions to eliminate them Respond to improvement needs raised by C&C Team members Promote solutions across users & Hubs Drive standardization and utilization of available tools and platforms Focus on day-to-day improvements Bring framework to process improvement Promote Continuous Improvement culture within the organization Why you We look for people who appreciate the importance of safety and quality and strive to continuously improve our performance and practices. Ideally, we are looking for someone with: Degree in Finance/Finance Analysis or other similar Experience in improving financial processes (at least 3 years) Continuous Improvement certification (e.g., SixSigma Green Belt, LEAN, Design Thinking) would be preferred Knowledge of MS Office tools (especially MS Excel) Knowledge of SAP and supporting components Continuous improvement mindset, PDCA, problem-solving Experience in root cause analysis, identification of wastes Experience in a SOX environment Knowledge of SAP ECC & FC Excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly within a matrix team Ability to work with multiple stakeholders Knowledge of systems that allows checking the processes/creating reports/effectively extracting the data.
