A well-known conglomerate company is seeking a Contract and Procurement Assistant Manager. In this job, you will drive cost reduction and improved contract negotiation initiatives as well as to collaborate with other business stakeholders with project charters, benefits, and resourcing requirements. About the Contract and Procurement Assistant Manager Role:
In this role, you will be responsible in leading the procurement activities such as sourcing, contract and price negotiations, manage vendors as well as ensuring strict compliance to the company\xe2\x80\x99s strict compliance to company guidelines. You will also collaborate with other internal stakeholders to monitoring active projects and tracking status of work as well as proactively foreseeing potential obstacles. Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the gate-keeper in verifying and managing project claims and expenses of all suppliers, consultants and contractors
  • Be the main driver of sourcing and vendor development activities for multiple procurement projects
  • Be a main driver in cost savings and cost reduction initiatives through contract accuracy and contract negotiations
  • Develop and implement dual sourcing activities to ensure alternative suppliers and get lowest market price and best service quality
  • Analyse the technology business requirements against the supplier capability
  • Identify opportunities to leverage on commercial knowledge to navigate and manage supplier relationships and contracts
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of procurement financial metrics including productivity and inflation
  • Ensure progress claims, certs and invoice issued to third parties are completed in a timely manner
  • Be aligned with the current market and driving sourcing and contract management initiatives to achieve the company\xe2\x80\x99s long-term goals
To succeed in this Contract and Procurement Assistant Manager role, you will need to have a strong character and hands-on procurement and contract management experience within the construction or equivalent industry. Key Requirements:
  • Degree in supply chain, procurement or any related field
  • Over three years of work experience in a managerial procurement role
  • Strong understanding of contract administration matters with exposure to contracts legal requirements
  • Good knowledge in SAP and MS Office Tools
  • The ability to work independently and under time constraints
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
