SCOPE OF SERVICES:

1. Daily Credit Control activities:

  • To monitor daily activities for debt recovery for active, disconnected and final debtors (government and non-government accounts):-
  • To make sure reminders are sent to customers with outstanding energy bills by email & monitor their payment.
  • If there is no payment after reminders, to trigger disconnection.
  • If there is no payment after disconnection, to trigger civil claims.
  • To manage the individual search at JPN, company search at SSM or ROS, to trace the whereabout of the customers.
  • To submit bad debts (after all recovery effort exhausted) to Appeal Committee / Retail Asset Disposal Committee for recommendation to CEO SESCO for writing off.
  • To compile and submit unclaimed money to JAN before March of every year.
2. Monitor & report debt recovery result to the management including in-depth analysis and to execute immediate intervention and mitigation actions if performance is off-track:
  • To prepare reports (such as AOD Report, Top 30/100 outstanding Reports) for management, including following up actions taken.
  • To monitor and report the debt recovery results (Active, Disconnected, FAD & FAC) on weekly basis.
  • To analyze the accounts with prolonged estimate readings / MT66 issues and bring up to the relevant appeal committee for revision.
3. Handle and deal with internal and external customers enquiries and requests:
  • To manage the customers\' enquiries through emails, telephone calls or walk-in.
  • To handle customers\' request for instalment plans.
4. Adhere and comply with all policies and regulations of the Company and any legal requirement:
  • To adhere to all PPG & SOP of the Company eg. Punctuality for work, good office discipline and taking good care of Company\'s assets.
  • To comply with the Electricity Ordinance, Safety Rules and any other legislation.
5. Others:
  • Participate in 5S activities & adhere to Company\'s Quality Policy & Procedures.
  • To perform any other duties as instructed by supervisor and manager.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting (or equivalent)
  • Basic debt recovery experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate with & customers.
  • Aware of Company\'s policies, rules and circulars
