Job Title: Control-M Batch Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

The Control-M Batch Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management, scheduling, and administration of batch jobs within the production environment. This role ensures the stability, performance, and accuracy of Control-M job scheduling systems, while also handling incident, problem, and change management requests related to batch operations. The role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities:

Operational Management

Oversee daily operations of

Control-M

, ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability. Perform

system upgrades, patching, and administration

of Control-M software as required. Conduct regular (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly)

batch job reviews

, updates, and scheduling to ensure accuracy and relevance. Collaborate with job owners to validate, optimize, and maintain batch job configurations. Monitor and review batch job performance to ensure timely execution within defined SLAs.

Monitoring & Incident Management

Coordinate with the

L1 SMC Monitoring Team

to ensure batch jobs are properly monitored and escalations are handled appropriately. Perform

incident management and root cause analysis

for Control-M or job-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve batch job failures, scheduler issues, or related system incidents. Execute service and change requests raised by system or application teams concerning batch job scheduling and configuration.

Process Documentation & Reporting

Develop and maintain

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

for Control-M and batch job operations. Ensure operational documentation is updated and compliant with standards. Generate

daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports

on batch job performance and system health for management review.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in

Computer Engineering

,

Information Technology

, or a related field.

1-3 years

of experience in

IT operations

,

batch job scheduling

, or

Control-M administration

. Hands-on experience in

Control-M

configuration, job scheduling, and troubleshooting. Possession of a

Control-M Certification

is highly advantageous. Strong understanding of IT operations, systems administration, and process management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and customer-focused approach. Strong multitasking, time management, and teamwork skills. Proficiency in

English, Cantonese, and Mandarin

is required. Willingness to work on

standby

as operational needs arise.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM11,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
