Purpose of the RoleAs [COO / Director - Operations] you will be responsible for leading the development and operations of the companys manufacturing facilities in Johor Bahru. Your responsibilities will include managing the production processes, ensuring quality standards, optimizing resource allocation, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with other departments to align manufacturing goals with organizational objectives. You will be responsible for working with leadership to identify and implement improvements to bring the facility to a world class standard.Key Accountabilities & Tasks Provide leadership, direction, and management for Companys two production facilities in Johor Bahru. Oversee all operational systems and processes to ensure 90% factory utilization. Oversee accurate and detailed reporting on production status, machinery performance, and adherence to KPIs for group headquarters. Accurately forecast production volumes/quality, coordinating with Commercial Hire, manage and continually develop a management team to support you Ensure compliance with all regulations, including Department of Environment, Occupational Safety and Health, Department of Labour, and local council. In collaboration with leadership. develop and then manage budget plans Manage contracts with local supply accounts through effective negotiation and supplier management. Oversee supply chain and outbound logistics of fi nished goods in collaboration with the commercial team. Lead management team ensuring high performance throughout team Raise and then maintain the tidiness of the facilities. Work with leadership on design/ development/ planning for potential expansion sites, being responsible for subsequent project management of construction, commissioning, ramp-up, qualifi cation, and steady state for new facilities.Key KPIs In this role, you will be accountable for several KPIs. These will be agreed between you and the CEO as part of the annual target setting exercise but will include KPIs around Production output, utilization rate, yield and quality Cost (including HR, procurement and raw materials) Employees (including staff turnover and development) Facility (including Quality Assurance: Maintaining GMP/HACCP) Requirements & Person Specifi cations Solid understanding of manufacturing, engineering and operations. And in managing proprietary production and processing systems. 10+ years of relevant experience in managing production facilities for world class organization with strong track record of operational excellence Strong people leadership skills with experience in change management Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
