Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Primary role is to support the origination and execution of corporate finance advisory mandates which shall encompass formulating and undertaking business development and origination functions and coordinating inter departmental liaisons to identify opportunities through business relationship with existing and new clientele base.
• The candidate should be strong in origination and with good corporate finance experience. Candidate will also be expected to be able to work independently with business partners, especially in deal origination. You should be in a position to structure and execute complex corporate finance transactions and also have good knowledge of Malaysian regulatory and execution process, including the relevant guidelines i.e. SC Equity Guidelines and CMSA, Bursa Securities Listing Requirements and SC Rules on Take-Overs, Mergers and Compulsory Acquisitions, at a minimum. Focus areas would be in local and cross border M&A, privatisation exercise, Malaysian and cross border IPO exercise in Singapore and Hong Kong and equity fund raising exercise.

• Must have a Capital Market Services Representatives Licence as issued by Securities Commission, Malaysia
• Possess good university degree or Masters, preferably in accounting, finance or business.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience either solely in corporate finance/investment banking or in aggregate with relevant corporate experience
• Experienced in originating deals which have been successfully executed, whether private or public entities
• Familiar with the various methodologies on valuation, including DCF
• Able to undertake company financial analysis, with some guidance from seniors, including analysis on financial performance and financial health
• Able to manage corporate finance deals independently with some guidance from seniors
• Able to work efficiently, under pressure and extended hours when required
• Possess good networking base and good interpersonal/presentation skills
• Passionate about deal making and driven to excel
• Must also be a good team player and able to maintain good working relationship with people of all levels
• Ability to converse / write in Mandarin would be an added advantage
