We are now searching for an exceptionally motivated and driven leader to join our growing team in Malaysia as the Country MD. If you have demonstrated experience in building and scaling e-commerce businesses, and are looking for a place where you can gain hands-on experience and create significant impact, we would like to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Overall accountability for the P/L and all operational aspects of foodpanda\'s business in Malaysia.
• Develop and implement high level country strategy, with the goal of being the best food delivery marketplace in Malaysia.
• Allocate budget and optimise resources efficiently across all business verticals to meet ambitious growth and profitability targets.
• Build and lead a team of highly talented C-level country executives, and guide/motivate them to supercharge business performance.
• Collaborate with Delivery Hero\'s Management Board around strategic goals, funding, and country level policies to maximise return on investment.
• Serve as the chief brand ambassador in Malaysia, leveraging multiple channels to sell our story, and building foodpanda into a trusted and winning brand.
• Aggressively drive vendor growth whilst developing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers.
• Care for an amazing team of best-in-class delivery riders, ensuring that our rider program is constantly improving.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, regularly engage and maintain good working relationship with government and regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Business or equivalent qualification.
• At least 10 years of experience at the company decision-making level, including P/L accountability.
• Background in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/technology environments, with experience in management consulting a plus.
• Experience leading and scaling organisations of 100+ staff across diverse functions.
• Outstanding achievements in business performance, driving profitability and growth, and inspiring large teams.
• Strong customer focus and influencing skills, with the ability and finesse to balance conflicting objectives and manage crises.
• Assertive, energetic, and highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in English (our corporate language), with fluency in Bahasa Melayu (local language) a plus.
• International exposure is a must-have for this role.
