Role Summary
A Junior Data Centre Operator supports the daily operations of a data centre, ensuring systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. This entry-level role focuses on monitoring, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting, often under the guidance of senior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor servers, network systems, and batch processing jobs for performance and uptime.
Perform routine hardware checks, backups, and preventive maintenance tasks
Assist in troubleshooting system and network issues to minimize downtime
Document operational procedures and maintenance activities for internal records
Support secure data transfer and storage processes, including disaster recovery protocols
Maintain inventory of equipment and assist with cabling (Ethernet/fiber) as needed
Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve technical issues efficiently
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Basic understanding of server hardware, networking, and operating systems
Familiarity with monitoring tools and backup systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,400.00 per month
