POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DataEngineer to join our growing data and analytics team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, pipelines, and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure the availability of reliable, high-quality data to drive analytics, business intelligence, and AI/ML initiatives across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain and enhance the enterprise data warehouse and analytics environment, ensuring seamless integration of data from multiple internal and external sources. Design, build, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines to support analytics, and reporting. Automate data workflows and management tasks using clean, scalable, and replicable code. Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI and other tools to support business decision-making. Work with business stakeholders to understand data challenges, gather requirements, and identify opportunities for data-driven solutions. Ensure data quality, security, and governance by implementing best practices and maintaining comprehensive documentation. Contribute to the development of predictive and prescriptive models, interactive dashboards, and AI-driven applications that provide measurable business value. Support the implementation and configuration of AI/ML tools and platforms, ensuring seamless data connectivity and optimal performance. Stay up to date with emerging trends in data engineering, Azure technologies, Power BI, and AI/ML platforms to drive innovation and efficiency. Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives such as internal documentation, code reviews, and technical workshops.

REQUIREMENT, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computational Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or backend data workflows. Strong expertise in relational databases and SQL, including designing and maintaining ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data. Proficiency in data analysis and automation tools, such as Python, R, SQL, Excel VBA, and Power BI, with the ability to build, maintain, and deploy automated workflows. Hands-on experience with data visualization tools and familiarity with modern data platforms and cloud/AI ecosystems (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Exposure to or hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and agentic AI technologies is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, with experience taking both lead and support roles as required. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. A proactive, action-oriented, and solution-focused mindset, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Prior experience in applying data engineering techniques in market research or consulting environments is an added advantage.

Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
