The Position We are looking for a Data Quality & Observability Expert who works with IT and business stakeholders to facilitate the creation, maintenance, and validation of our strategic data assets. This role supports the definition and deployment of data quality and observability practices, defines measures and KPIs and implements rules needed to verify and validate the quality and fitness of the enterprise data. The Data Quality & Observability Expert uses best practices and tools to analyze and measure data quality and develop action plans to ensure data reliability, completeness, and consistency. The role will support the Data Governance teams in implementing governance practices and supporting compliance with required data quality and fitness standards.
Key Responsibilities The position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Consult and advise the business with regard to data quality and data observability
  • You will partner closely with data creators, data stewards, data consumers, and different IT teams to ensure our data is usable, timely, robust, trustworthy, and compliant. This role looks at the end-to-end data flow and lifecycle, from generation/acquisition to exploitation and value, to establish data quality dimensions, rules, and indicators.
  • You will apply data quality principles and best practices to design and maintain policies, methodologies, guidelines around data quality, data profiling, data cleansing, including KPI/metrics definitions
  • You will be also responsible for design, development, and implementation of end-to-end data pipeline observability/ monitoring solution as well as identifying gaps in existing approach and recommend remedial actions
  • You will collaborate with business stakeholders to identify attributes that require data quality and corresponding business rules. Profile data, analyze user requirements, and translate & apply business rules to data quality rules.
  • You will interact with business stakeholders to resolve data quality problems using techniques such as root cause analysis as well as collecting user requirements.
  • Working with data quality and management platforms
  • You will have experience with tools such as Informatica DQ, Colibra DQ, Ataccama, Monte Carlo, etc.
  • Working with data standards and ontologies
  • Data analysis with a strong focus on data quality and governance concepts

Years of relevant working experience Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 of relevant experience Academic Requirement Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related fields (or equivalent work-related experience) Key competencies The following skills and competencies are needed:
  • 5+ years experience in information technology /business system analysis, information design, resulting in a deep understanding of business processes and related information management, ideally in different parts of an organization
  • 3-5 years of data quality management, preferably in a consulting environment.

  • Strong interest in data content and data quality
  • Interest and passion for working in a complex data domain and dynamic business environment, solving challenging problems, and supporting transformation
  • Ability to work in complex, matrix environments doing hands-on work as the situation requires
  • Understanding of the data governance process, data stewardship, data cataloging, data observability, data engineering, data integration, business rules management, etc.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with business partners to analyze and implement solutions to improve user experience
  • Ability to improve users\' trust and confidence in the data products
  • Ability to demonstrate the direct impact of Data Governance practices on business decisions
  • Strong consultancy and analytical skills, ability to learn new processes and concepts and understand the technical constraints of possible solutions
  • Be an excellent communicator and collaborator, engaging with multiple technical and business stakeholders and leaders on all levels, transforming complexity into suitable structures
  • Exhibits an Agile mindset, i.e. Good enough instead of perfection and Focus on \xe2\x80\x9cReuse before Buy before Make\xe2\x80\x9d when providing direction on future solutions
  • Domain knowledge in pharmaceutical industry is an added advantage
  • Fluent english language skills and work experience in a multinational environment
