The Role: Offshore Field Development Technical Research Analyst

The Team: This role is part of the Asia Pacific upstream technical research team supporting key products generating E&P and offshore market intelligence. The data collected goes into the Petrodata suite of products, which covers offshore field development reports along with rigs, marine, subsea construction and seismic vessel reports.

Impact: This role is responsible for collecting and reporting on offshore field development activity in the Asia Pacific region and will actively source for details regarding the assigned region and subsea construction vessels. The person would eventually be considered an expert in the offshore sector.

This is a critical position in support of the company's varied customers who participate in the offshore construction market. These customers include international and state-controlled oil and gas companies, financial analysts, vessel owners, shipyards, equipment suppliers and others.

Responsibilities:

Collecting and reporting on offshore field development activities in the assigned region particularly via phone calling, to establish and maintain relevant industry contacts

Gathering accurate data of assigned offshore subsea construction vessels

Updating and maintaining the Company's proprietary databases including data input and data checks

Analysis of data/news for contact conversation and potential contributions to forecasting reports

Providing support to related editorial and market research efforts as assigned and customer support when necessary

What We're Looking For:

Preferred two years' work experience and familiarity with the offshore oil and gas industry

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.

Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Enthusiasm and a genuine interest in the subject matter are extremely important.

Minimum Bachelor's degree, and other relevant work experience will be considered.
