Roles and Responsibilities

Provide expertise in many technological areas pertaining to database technologies. Participate in defining and promoting best practices relating to database development/administration to the organization. Work concurrently on several product development projects with development engineers to review and recommend possible optimization's to database design and development code. Perform analysis and reviews on complex applications being released into production. Represent the database team in project meetings and participate as a major contributor in complex development projects. Provide input and execute on efforts to improve the efficiency and quality of our development projects. Investigate and analyze reported defects in a timely manner, and recommend solutions to these problems including code changes, data updates, or configuration modifications. To troubleshoot database performance. To perform database fine tuning. To perform data extraction and migration of DB2 data.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.

Experienced working with Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and other popular relational databases.

Specialize in database topical areas such as logical database design and database development/administration using Microsoft technologies. Experienced in database SQL scripting. Able to handle several projects simultaneously. Able to work independently and in a team environment. Enjoys a fast-paced environment at the leading edge of technology. * Possesses excellent organization and communication skills (in English).
