JOB VACANCY - DATABASE ADMIN

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in Oracle Database and a desire to grow into future leadership roles. You will manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems, ensuring data availability, integrity, and performance across multiple projects.

Work location: Sungai Buloh, Selangor Starting date: Immediately Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Key Responsibilities

Manage Oracle database systems Perform database tuning, SQL optimization, and capacity planning Implement and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve system bottlenecks Manage user access, roles, and permissions based on security policies Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations Support application teams in database design, queries, and integration Prepare and maintain documentation related to database architecture and SOPs Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory data policies Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and project teams on deployment and troubleshooting

Requirements

At least 2-3 years of working experience in a related DBA role Hands-on experience with Oracle Database administration preferred Solid knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, SQL tuning, and data security Familiar with scripting and automation tools is an added advantage Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
