Description

Primary Objective:

• Uphold and maintain the Principal Dealership status of both RHB Bank and RHB Islamic Bank by playing active roles in both the primary and secondary government bonds/bills market

• Generate trading income by taking calculated risk in the government bonds market/ other instruments approved by Head

• Drive team of traders in performing PD roles and govt. bonds trading towards achieving profit target within defined limits

• To generate trading income by undertaking risks in the RM fixed income securities in order to achieve the given financial target.

• To lend support to the Principal Dealership Desk by actively participating in the primary and secondary market of the Government Bonds market.

To manage and trade in any other instruments approved by the Group Head as well as to carry out any assigned task delegated.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

• Analyze and assess market and provide market outlook/view to Head Fixed Income Trading on government bonds market and market development
• Formulate tactical plans and strategies to position the team and its portfolio in line with market movement, expectations and fundamentals
• Strategize plan for tendering and secondary market trading activities to meet PD matrix criteria and maintaining the Principal Dealership status.
• Maintain relationship with non PD FIs and end investors and expand indirect bidders base for their support in the primary and secondary market
• To leverage on Global markets networking and expand indirect bidder and investor base for primary market tender

Trading:

• Generate trading gains by undertaking calculated risks in the government bonds market
• Play an active role in trading activity to maintain PD status
• Manage market risk of trading portfolio proactively

Compliance: Adhere to code of conduct and regulatory/ policy set by the Group/ Regulatory body



Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - .

• Member of PPKM (Licensed Dealer)

1 - 5 yrs experience in Treasury & Fixed Income mkt at an established Financial services institutions

Strong understanding of Fixed income trading activities as well as risk mgmt.

Strong analytical sense, communication and relationship building skills
