Job Description

The Deputy Fund Manager is responsible for supporting the Fund Manager in delivering the Fund strategy as well as analysing and implementing investment decisions for their designated fund(s) with the ultimate goal of delivering the Fund's stated strategy and performance objectives. The Deputy Fund Manager supports the Fund Manager in directing capital raising activities initiatives, marketing the fund and managing investor relationships.

Key accountabilities of the role cover fund management, real estate investment and asset management:

Assist the PM/FM with development and implementation of the portfolio strategy as well as representing and managing the interests of the Funds to deliver the strategy

Preparation of the Fund Aligned Team Business Plan & Individual Asset Strategies

Contributes to the conduct of research and in-depth analysis of economic forecast data and industry investment trends, applying subject matter expertise and knowledge to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities and their tax and accounting implications, making recommendations as appropriate to support the growth of the Company investment fund.

Develop and implement asset strategy, medium term asset plan and financial budgets for the retail assets

Modelling of portfolio / asset performance and target setting for portfolio reviews

Investment appraisal - review of capital expenditure (investment) proposal and commercial assessments

Execute complex financial modelling of investment and risk scenarios to monitor the performance of existing investment strategies, ensuring the continued compliance with Company investment standards and regulatory requirements.

To achieve this, you'll have a collaborative commercial mindset, strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to confidently present to executive stakeholders. A deep understanding of asset performance drivers, you will have a sophisticated understanding of funds and property management underpinned by a grounding in property investment.

Financial modelling and analytical skills are essential with the ability to create, amend and test financial models and forecasts. A team player you are an adept problem solver, proactive and results driven, you are able to work under pressure whilst demonstrating flexibility.
