Ensure strict adherence to local regulations and company policies, collaborating closely with customs authorities to maintain smooth and efficient import operations.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and partners, negotiating favorable terms and rates to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and execute import strategies and plans aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing overall operations.
Foster seamless collaboration with other departments, such as sales, customer service, and logistics, to ensure a smooth import process and deliver high-quality customer service.
Prepare and review all essential import documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and commercial invoices.
Provide customers with timely and accurate costing and billing information, ensuring prompt payment collections.
Offer Import Consol Profile, forecast, budgetary, and nomination reports to management for informed decision-making.
Present agent analysis reports to management for insights into performance and opportunities for improvement.
Supervise and guide a team of import specialists, providing necessary training, support, and leadership.
Requirements
A bachelors degree in business, logistics, or a related field is required.
Candidates must possess a minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in import operations, encompassing SFLA, customs clearance, and costing and billing for Import Jobs (Consol/FCL/LCL).
Thorough knowledge of local regulations and customs procedures is essential.
