Job Description


Strategy and Planning \xef\x82\xb7 Assist the Investigation Department Head in the development and implementation of the overall investigation policies and procedures, and regional initiatives \xef\x82\xb7 Provide support to the Audit Committee (AC) and management in discharging its obligations and responsibilities relating to investigation cases, staff integrity, instilling good corporate governance and risk management practices \xef\x82\xb7 Identify, allocate and organise resource requirements, including people development requirements \xef\x82\xb7 Keep abreast of the regulatory landscape and emerging fraud risks and trends in order to be able to manage investigation cases effectively
Performance and Management \xef\x82\xb7 Strategise, plan and decide on the scope of investigations covering forgeries, embezzlements, frauds, employee misconduct, financial wrong doings, robberies, allegations of abuse, complaints (from within or outside the Group) and other breaches \xef\x82\xb7 Procure all evidence, file applicable reports with regulatory bodies and work with investigating law enforcement agencies \xef\x82\xb7 Ensure that the investigation work programs are prepared and updated periodically across the region \xef\x82\xb7 Supervise investigation work being carried out and, where necessary, to consider obtaining external professional expertise \xef\x82\xb7 Attend disciplinary enquiries, court cases as required and other meetings relating to the investigations carried out \xef\x82\xb7 Review work papers to ensure proper documentation and work done \xef\x82\xb7 Preparation of timely and quality investigation reports upon completion of investigation \xef\x82\xb7 Assist in preparing police reports where necessary \xef\x82\xb7 Define the responsibility, authority and interrelation of employees who manage, perform, and verify work affecting quality \xef\x82\xb7 Ensure that the quality programs established are carried out within GCAD \xef\x82\xb7 Integrate the investigation work practices across the region \xef\x82\xb7 Supervise audit follow-up and issue validation process to ensure management act on agreed action plan \xef\x82\xb7 Collaborate with CA Country Heads in identifying common modus operandi of fraud cases, root causes, and share lessons learnt and significant risks across region towards enhancing internal controls in preventing recurrence of similar cases \xef\x82\xb7 Provide monthly progress status and quarterly performance review to GCIA (for Investigation Department and investigation activities across the region)Carry out any other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the GCIA or Head, CA Malaysia from time to time
People Management \xef\x82\xb7 Identify, plan and monitor the manpower needs of the Investigation Department and participate in selection interviews for the recruitment of new staff \xef\x82\xb7 Assist the CA Country Heads in identifying and recruiting suitable staff for investigations \xef\x82\xb7 Plan and oversee the training/development needs of the staff of Investigation Department and the investigation teams across the region \xef\x82\xb7 Provide feedback on relevant staff performance to CA Country Heads for annual PMS purposes
Regulatory Compliance \xef\x82\xb7 Ensure compliance with external regulation/laws imposed on GCAD under accountability of Investigation Department
