Deputy Purchasing Manager (Manufacturing / Semiconductor Industry)

Location: Kulim, Kedah | Full-Time | On-Site

We are representing a

leading multinational in the semiconductor and precision manufacturing industry

. The company is looking for a highly experienced

Deputy Manager - Purchasing

to drive procurement strategies, supplier management, and logistics optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead strategic sourcing, supplier evaluations, and high-value negotiations. Oversee purchase order and contract management, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships; drive supplier performance improvements. Collaborate with inventory, production, and sales teams to manage material requirements and stock levels. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, customs regulations, and shipping documentation (K1, K2, K8, Lampiran D, etc.). Manage logistics operations, including import/export, freight forwarding, and local distribution. Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Key Requirements:

Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field. Minimum

8-10 years of procurement/purchasing experience

, with at least

3-5 years in a managerial or deputy manager role

. Proven background in

manufacturing/semiconductor/electronics

. Strong knowledge of

supplier management, contract negotiations, and logistics operations

. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
