Expand & maintain BOM for repair/service engineering: On/Off tool, spare parts Company background: Vacuum Valve Manufacturer Position title: Design Engineer - Service Headcount: 1 Location: Batu Kawan, Penang Tenure: Permanent Responsibilities: Expand & maintain BOM for repair/service engineering: On/Off tool, spare parts & consumables, FPR (Fixed Price Refurbishment), tool and utilities in PLM. Create and maintain service related drawings in CAD system. . Create and maintain technical documentation for service engineering. Creating change request when changes needed. Develop technical solutions in cooperation with GSE engineering & operation. Ensure all drawings and documents are up-to-date based on engineering change requests (change folder). Support customers together with product manager and application engineer on the product related issue including customer complaint and audit. Verify and optimize manufacturability with manufacturing departments, supply quality engineers, buyers and service operation team. Supporting all changes with regards to supply chain, manufacturing and assembly processes in GSE. Lead investigation and analysis of problems and drive implementation of solutions for the design-related issue escalated by the customer. Qualifications and skills: Degree in mechanical engineering required Strong skills in 3D-CAD (NX preferable) and PLM systems as well as MS-Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) . Special skills: Knowledge to vacuum industry technology are a big asset . Experience in design, assembly and application of mechatronic components (motor, sensor, heaters etc.) Person needs to be agile and creative, self-motivated and focussed to meeting customer needs
