Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead, plan, and supervise all design activities and project pipelines to ensure timely, high-quality delivery. Review and approve design proposals, technical drawings, material selections, and project deliverables. Translate client requirements into design strategies aligned with project objectives and timelines. Work closely with relevant internal teams to ensure design feasibility, constructability, and cost alignment. Participate in key meetings and presentations with clients, consultants, and developers when required. Guide and supervise Senior Designers and Designers, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely performance. Resolve design-related issues that arise during production or on-site execution. Evaluate and propose improvements in design standards, materials, and work processes. Liaise with suppliers and vendors on material sourcing, specifications, and new product innovations. Conduct site visits to review implementation and ensure compliance with approved designs. Mentor team members and support their professional development. Prepare progress reports and design documentation for management review. Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in interior design, including experience in leading design teams or managing projects. Strong portfolio demonstrating completed residential and/or commercial projects. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor designers and detailers. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Highly organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple deadlines and priorities. Knowledge of modular systems, joinery, and carpentry production drawings is an advantage. Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to design excellence, technical accuracy, and innovation.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
