The DG Migration Specialist is responsible for managing data migration and governance lifecycle activities for the SAM data objects (Customer related) for large SAP implementation projects as well as smaller scale projects and tasks. The role also coordinates with the data load team to perform data loads, identify errors, and apply continuous improvement to the entire migration process. This position has a direct impact on the overall ability to achieve high quality master data within METTLER TOLEDO.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees end to end data quality by defining and executing data migration processes, specifically data validation, cleansing, and enrichment for assigned data objects
Manages and properly supports assigned projects and deliverables within assigned area, specifically including support for SAP implementation projects and related tasks
Mitigates risks and manages issues related to assigned projects and other assigned deliverables
Owns data migration processes and documentation across assigned data objects
Manages changes to extraction and transformation processes and tools, including value mapping, data preparation, and data de-duplication
Supports transformation framework tool development, including design of database tables and structures, creating views, functions and stored procedures, for integration with other applications
Provides guidance on the development of any changes to new or existing load processes and tools
Identifies and defines new process and continuous improvement opportunities, specifically template processes and deliverables
Ensures a \xe2\x80\x9cknowledge-sharing\xe2\x80\x9d culture by effective communication and documentation
Works closely and maintains effective relationships with internal team members, business and project stakeholders
What You Need to Succeed
Critical Competencies / Minimum Requirements:
1 -2 years of working experience with SAP CRM (SAM/ECO) area preferred)
1- 2 years of ETL data migration
1 - 2 years\' MS SQL Server experience preferred
KNIME experience preferred
International project experience would be an asset
Analytically strong with ability to fluently use MS Excel and MS Access
Strong communication and presentation skills; required in functional teams and with business partners
Structured, detailed working methodology; continuous improvement approach and process oriented
Language skills: Proficient English (written and oral)
Self-driven, motivated individual who can efficiently influence delivery in matrix organization
Likes to work in a global, multicultural and fast moving environment; ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
Requires minimum to moderate travel
