JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing, the Digital Innovation Specialist works collaboratively with the Digital, Tech and Content (DTC) team to identify, develop and deploy innovative technologies to enhance user experiences in support of Taylor's University and Taylor's College's marketing and student recruitment activities.

This role is expected to develop solutions by leveraging on the customer relationship management (CRM) platform, Adobe Marketing Cloud tools that we own and other related technologies, through conceptualisation and design of proof-of-concepts, based on user-centric methods (e.g. design thinking, usability testing, UX/UI design, etc.) as well as management of various third-party applications.

The main responsibility of this position is to develop and enhance the prospective market's experiences using DTC's digital tools and infrastructure. This role will work with colleagues within and outside of DTC department to conceptualise and design solutions to enhance user experience.

As the Digital Innovation Specialist, you are expected to monitor best practices and trends in emerging technologies and to proactively research, recommend and develop/adapt/implement technologically innovative appropriate solutions to enhance user experiences. In this role, you will also be collaborating with others on development and innovation activities, designing and implementing proof-of-concepts, using project management and resource prioritisation methodologies.

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conceptualisation and design of solutions

• Develop and implement effective solutions to support marketing and student recruitment activities
• Leverage on the existing and new technologies such as wearables, analytics, smart devices, mobile, cloud and social media and so on.
• Liaise with colleagues, especially DTC's Digital and Tech team and Student Recruitment team, to understand needs and to gather requirements for appropriate innovative digital solutions and vendors to provide support on solutions.

• Proactive engagement in emerging technology trends

• Monitoring best practices and trends in emerging technologies
• Proactively research, recommend and develop/adapt/implement technologically innovative solutions to enhance user experience.
• Evaluate and assess technology products/services as and when required to ensure the library provides the best possible user experience

• Project Planning and resource utilisation

• Plan, prioritize and manage multiple initiatives and projects
• Develop, establish and oversee procedures and work standards for troubleshooting, reporting and tracking

• Collaboration with stakeholders across Taylor's

• Work collaboratively with staff, students, academic and others within Taylor's in the identification and development of appropriate innovative solutions
• Assist and/or champion technology-related project teams and/or actively participate as a DTC representative on project committees when required.
