The Digital IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering digital application projects from planning to implementation. This role manages project timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and vendor activities while ensuring compliance with IT governance. The position also supports the business by enabling efficient and high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities1. Digital IT Project Delivery
Plan, manage, and track project scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
Identify risks, issues, and deviations early and ensure timely resolution.
Communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Ensure full compliance with IT policies, project governance, SDLC, and approval processes.
2. Agile & Waterfall Delivery
Lead project teams in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and support the product owner.
Remove impediments and guide teams to achieve higher delivery maturity.
Support continuous improvement in delivery processes.
3. Vendor & Partner Management
Coordinate with external vendors when required.
Validate deliverables, track payments, and manage commercial documentation.
Monitor vendor performance to ensure commitments are met.
4. Technical Understanding
Possess functional and technical understanding of digital systems.
Ability to validate work, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with technical teams.
Basic knowledge of infrastructure is an advantage.
RequirementsEducation
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 6 years of IT project management experience in software delivery.
At least 2 years in technical or functional roles within application systems.
Minimum 1 year of Scrum Master or Agile experience.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum concepts (e.g., stories, backlog, DoD).
Proficient in Jira and Confluence.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving, organisational, and collaboration skills.
Ability to mentor team members and drive process improvement.
