The opportunity

The individual is accountable for providing successful leadership, management and governance of a range of integrated marketing, research and analytic support and external and internal communications programs, that are aligned with the identified value propositions, business priorities and suite of EY solutions.

This individual will work closely with senior leadership to develop and nurture platforms that will differentiate the brand and drive consideration and preference for EY as a service provider.

This role requires a seasoned, innovative and self-driven marketer and communicator who is adept at moving from strategy to ground execution, works well under pressure and uncertainty, is passionate about driving transformation and excels at building strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, professional expertise and direction in the planning and execution of brand, marketing, business research and analytics support to the stakeholders (utilizing internal and external information sources) and communications programs and activities
  • Plan, develop and deliver an integrated marketing and external and internal communications strategy, covering PR/media, social/digital, content, events and communications with defined metrics, with a focus on delivering results that build brand and reputation, expand relationships and ultimately drive revenue with clients and prospects
  • Head research projects and lead the design, analysis and implementation based from the research findings to support organisation in meeting strategic direction and key goals through fresh content strategies and ideas
  • Produce thought leadership publications, point-of-views, economics, industry, market and issue-based papers
  • Drive multi-format content strategy, including commissioning material and developing and activating a suite of differentiated, timely and relevant digital and print content for the external marketplace including creating market alerts and facilitate public presentations
  • Produce business research contents and provide market insights through industry trends for business development proposal and business sharing purposes
  • Drive external brand presence and media communications strategy
  • Drive internal communications strategy and provide counsel on executive communications
  • Serve as brand custodian to the organization and perform quality review of relevant communications materials
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on issues and trends in the fields of professional services and marketing and communications, and assess implications for BMC strategy
  • Foster and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and with industry stakeholders, establishing sponsors and subject matter resources for programs
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to execute go-to-market programs in close consultation with local stakeholders
  • Drive BMC transformation projects such as marketing innovation, automation and new ways of working
  • Take budgetary, financial and talent management responsibility for the function
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Extensive experience in B2B marketing and acknowledged expertise in either Marketing or Communications and research and content development
  • Strong in conducting data surveys and analysis and well verse in research acumen to provide trends assessment and conclusive inferences
  • Deep local knowledge on Malaysian corporate industry, economy and market landscape
  • Experienced in leading teams in a large, matrixed organization
  • A strategic thinker who is passionate about teamwork and willing to work on the ground to execute projects
  • Demonstrate strong domain functional knowledge, skills and business acumen to establish and deliver strategies that drive business priorities and add value to the business
  • Demonstrate strong media relations and possess excellent connections with members of media organizations
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and consensus-building skills in a dynamic environment, with proven ability to influence and gain support from senior stakeholders
  • Outstanding knowledge of traditional and new marketing and communications platforms and passion for innovations
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities, from executive communications to marketing copy to thought leadership content
  • Proven ability to be a point of integration across the organization, manage complex processes, projects or programs and deliver with agility and resilience
