Direct and manage all resources under the Pre-U & Transfer Programmes.
Develop academic excellence and comply with regulatory requirements.
Prepare, implement, and monitor annual departmental budgets with respective Head(s).
Supervise respective Head(s) on academic management and operations by complying with QMS policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Ensure all departments have adequate human resources to deliver quality education.
Ensure all teaching resources are fully optimized to avoid excesses.
Ensure all academic staff are qualified and meet programme standards and MQA requirements.
Ensure all academic staff have access to continuous training based on the educational institution's Teaching and Learning Framework: TPACK-S.
Report on lecturers' class observations and action plans in the Teaching and Learning Committee. ? Plan and manage the professional development of academic staff for all programmes in collaboration with CPD and HR.
Lead and supervise respective Head(s) for continual compliance with MOHE and MQA requirements.
Ensure respective Head(s) conduct annual Industry Advisory Board meetings and invite External Assessors to conduct programme assessments.
Ensure academic CQI is a practice in all departments and embedded in operations.
Mentor and assist respective Head(s) during PA, FA, MQA Maintenance, and Internal Quality Audits.
2. Programme Development and Management
Planning and development of new programmes (transfer degree,, degree and microcredential courses) that are in line with the college's strategic plan and direction.
Develop students' academic progress and articulation.
Survey and identify strategic franchise/transfer partners and develop academic progression for Pre-U and degree transfer programme students.
Develop degree transfer and undergraduate programs that are in line with market needs and demands.
Direct and manage programme submission for MQA PA and MoHE approval with respective Head(s).
Collaborate with Marketing, Enrolment & Admission, and CPD departments to launch new approved programmes and courses.
Work with the respective Head(s) to liaise with articulation and franchise partners to ensure the profitability and sustainability of the programmes.
3. Industry Collaboration and Placement
Develop industry partnerships for students' placements and internships.
Collaborate with industry experts to enhance the curriculum through industry-driven practices to increase graduate employability and job security.
4. Others
Direct and motivate all academic teaching and administrative staff to meet KPIs.
Instill a culture of lifelong learning and service among academic staff.
Chair the Exam Board, Academic Board, and any pertinent work whenever assigned by the Academic Dean.
Teach one class per semester (if possible)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in a related field or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of academic and leadership experience
Strong understanding of the Malaysian higher education landscape and global trends
Possess strong leadership and relationship-building abilities
Forward-thinking mindset, strategic experience, and planning skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to develop rapport and work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse group of people
Strategic thinker with the ability to implement change and drive performance.
