Job Purpose and Impact

The EHS Project Lead will support the build portfolio of projects and manage the environmental health and safety requirements for contractors. The position is responsible for applying in-depth understanding of Environmental, Health and Safety practices and standards across a complex build with high Environmental, Health and Safety complexity. Provide project leadership and direction in the following area of focus : development and implementation of Environmental, Health and Safety strategy, maintain continuous improvement process of Environmental, Health and Safety, and shaping the Environmental, Health and Safety culture. This position will also be part of Project Leadership Team. Additionally, you will ensure all regulatory and corporate environmental health and safety requirements are being adhered to, as well as ensure that all EHS documentation are kept up to date throughout the various phases of the project.
Key Accountabilities

Develop and Implement H&S Strategy :
Develop and executes EHS policies and programs relevant to the business and connects with the global and regional for alignment.
Ensure site Safety and Health Officer and/ or Site Safety Supervisor resources are properly on board as scheduled by the project team if necessary.
Identify and review all applicable EHS regulations, do a gap assessment and set up action plan for compliance including for EHS permit application process.
Develop Environmental Health and Safety Plan starting phase 2a until end of project.
Set up EHS budget requirement for project, develop Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Management Plan.
Define the strategy for CSMS (Construction Safety Management System) implementation covering contractor selection and management process from pre-qualification until demobilization.
Set up EHS requirement and KPI for contractor.
EHS involvement on design review including Process Design Package, Plant Lay Out, Traffic Management, etc.
Ensure other EHS Deliverables according to the project matrix are done appropriately.
Set up regular EHS meeting including kick-off meeting, Premobilization meeting, toolbox talk, town hall, EHS Committee meeting, etc.
Implement project EHS Plan for design and execution phase, including the programs and processes to execute corporate, Business and project Environmental, Health and Safety strategy appropriate to the technology, scope and maturity of the project.
Benchmarks internally and externally to identify EHS best practices of others that can be applied effectively across projects and implement at the project.
Collaborates with internal partners across a project with high EHS complexity to insert elements of Health and Safety strategy into processes, programs, and work of others, as appropriate to enable EHS strategy and support partner goals.
Work with project resources to establish contractor qualification procedure and maintain qualified bidder lists.
Convenes EHS Committee in periodically basis for evaluation, reporting, advisory and assessment of EHS Program Implementation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in in occupational safety, health and environment or other engineering discipline
In depth knowledge of legislation and business processes in environmental health and safety systems, ecology and environmental protection, industrial safety.
Minimum of six years of related work experience

Implemented company project delivery processes across entire project lifecycle.
Experience in managing complex brownfield projects with multiple contractors for a multinational company.
Confirmed ability to deliver processes effectively meeting all project EHS targets.
PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES
Safety engineering knowledge especially on the plant design
Understand HAZOP/HAZID principle
Having knowledge on Contractor Safety Management System
Review and break down environmental operating, construction and other permits and identify compliance demonstration requirements, activities and tasks and deploy and execute the compliance demonstration program.
Localize company and legally required processes, programs and controls and integrate them into site project level operating procedures, tools and work instructions to standardize front line processes and monitor, analyze and adjust for improved performance.
