Join us as Electrical Design Engineer for the Electrification Service Business area where you will be working with low to medium complexity projects according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. You will be in close cooperation with customers and other ABB teams, acting as the technical point while delivering quality and satisfying customer service. Reporting to the Project Operations Manager you will be responsible for executing assignments, as per agreed timeline and standards using established solutions. This position will be based in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. Your responsibilities Proposing technical solutions and working on consulting assignments, using established standards, methods, and technologies, to develop solutions and resolve issues Proposing engineering solutions to meet the needs of the customer Following work plans, estimating cost, and ensuring quality, timely implementation within targeted cost Conducting risk and opportunity assessments for consulting assignments. Proposing and initiating actions to mitigate and control risks Working with contract management activities (invoicing and work in progress, etc.) in one\'s area of work and ensuring delivery of assignments as per agreed contract Building network internally and externally for exchange of information. Providing support and technical advice to colleagues Applying standard processes and tools applicable to one\'s area of responsibility. Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual clauses Your background A Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering working with LV or MV electrical products, proficient in design and calculation of electrical designs Sound knowledge and experience in LV/MV switchgears and Protection Relays is mandatory Knowledge of AutoCAD/E-Plan Ability to travel to site locations as required Ability to work in competitive environment, exceptional time management and organizational skills and be a team player Fluent in written and spoken English Benefits Life insurance Accident insurance Paid Parental leave (gender neutral) Sick pay More about us Electrifying the world in a safe, smart and sustainable way, ABB Electrification is a global technology leader in electrical distribution and management from source to socket.
