About the Roles

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer (Technical / Project) to join an established

Industrial Engineering

company based in

Tapah, Perak

. This

permanent position

offers a

5-day work week

(Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm) and a competitive package with a

basic salary of up to RM6,500 plus variable bonus

. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of electrical engineering projects, from concept and design through to commissioning, while collaborating across multiple disciplines in a dynamic industrial environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Conduct feasibility studies and develop practical technical solutions for industrial projects as part of the annual CAPEX planning cycle. Manage and execute approved CAPEX projects covering electrical design, construction supervision, and commissioning support. Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical load layouts, concept and detailed designs, and shop drawings, coordinating outsourced work where required. Collaborate closely with process, mechanical, automation, civil, and structural teams to ensure project integration and consistency. Draft technical specifications, prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and evaluate vendor proposals with the procurement team. Track and manage project schedules, budgets, and progress while maintaining high standards of safety, health, environment, and quality. Provide engineering support for major maintenance activities, troubleshooting electrical issues, and optimizing existing systems. Uphold a strong "safety first" culture in all activities and project execution. Contribute to quarterly cash-out forecasting for assigned CAPEX projects.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; qualifications in Automation or Instrumentation Engineering are advantageous. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in project management and electrical work within process plant environments, covering design, engineering, construction, and commissioning. Strong understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems for industrial installations. Solid foundation in electrical engineering with working knowledge of mechanical, structural, civil, and construction practices such as lifting and scaffolding. Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentation. Skilled in using

EPlan

and

AutoCAD

for electrical design and layout preparation. Comfortable working in varied environmental conditions and physically demanding industrial settings.
