Performs preventive maintenance on rotating equipment, i.e Caterpillar engines and equipment's electrical components.
Performs engine & equipment general electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
To provide quality repair on the machines / components and complete repair job promptly.
Performs diagnostics checks and get assistance from supervisor on the evaluation on equipment performance using CAT advance diagnostics tooling.
To look up technical information through parts/ service manuals, bulletins, CAT SIS and any other related sources from time to time. Refers to supervisor for verification.
Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems with supervision of supervisor.
To recommend and prepare parts for service repair and for closing service job findings.
To submit own timecard and SIMS report timely.
To submit job acceptance form after all service field jobs are completed and produce service field reports to superior and clients.
To ensure proper usage of correct tools and be able to maintain own toolbox. Be responsible for any tools / equipment's issued/recorded under his name. (eg: Cameras/Timing Light/ Temperature Gun, etc).
To conduct toolbox meeting before job execution, ensure timely submission of daily work report and work pack are filled with information required from job performed before demobilization.
To communicate with Supervisor/ technical executives on any work constraints.
To undertake additional tasks allocated and to complete them on time assigned by supervisor.
To abide all safety standard and practices while always working in the workshop and field/site.
To proper maintain the tools storage and workshop facilities good working condition.
To be proactive and aware on own certificates validation (eg: BOSET/PTW/H2S/OGSP/Medical Checkup). Must be in Labuan 24/7 during standby and should be able to report to office within 60 minutes after phone call.
Requirements:
Minimum Electrical Certificate with at least 6 years of experience and possess competency certificate Chargeman A4 or equivalent experience with certificate Chargeman AO or A1 or
Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years of working experience and possess competency certificate Chargeman A4 or equivalent experience with certificate Chargeman AO or A1
Good verbal communication, interpersonal communication skills and analytical thinking in addition to positive aptitude and attitude.
Fluent in spoken and written in English & Bahasa Melayu.
