Engineer, Asset Integrity will provide practical and technical engineering support to maintain the integrity and, operability of all PTTEP Malaysia operating facility
To assist Head of Asset Integrity, in the process of build, implement and maintain a fit-for-purpose Asset Integrity Management program that will allow potential/existing risks to be effectively identified, evaluated and rectified, in accordance with local, international, and corporate standards.
To always practice, promote and inculcate \xe2\x80\x9cSafety First\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cEP SPIRIT\xe2\x80\x9d work culture to all direct reports, inspectors, contractors, and colleagues.
Maintain a working level control of OPEX/CAPEX spend related to asset integrity activities, i.e., budget versus actual spend with emphasis on cost consciousness.
To prepare work scopes, specifications and technical evaluation criteria to support company procurement process in securing contracts and service agreements, as necessary.
Function as Company Representative when required during routine and non-routine offshore activities.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure asset integrity related activities are performed timely and as per plan.
Communicate and coordinate with asset integrity discipline engineers to identify, evaluate and categorize anomalies and further ensure these anomalies are rectified in accordance with approved procedures.
Perform RBI assessment for piping and pressure vessel as required.
Assist structure discipline engineer to perform structure RBI/RBUI as required.
Assist Senior Discipline Engineers with Asset Life Extension (ALE) related activities.
2.1 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide technical advice to engineering personnel, asset operators and contractors.
Prepare scope of work, work packs and equipment repair plans or procedures, as necessary.
Interpret and analyze equipment condition data to determine equipment fitness-for-service utilizing applicable engineering codes and engineering best practices.
Perform incident investigations and root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on environmental releases from fixed equipment.
Explore and introduce cost-effective new technology relative to Asset integrity, inspection and maintenance of mechanical equipment.

4. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Head of Asset Integrity, while working as peer with other asset integrity functional Staff Engineer, Sr. Engineers and Engineers, keeping them informed of asset integrity activities progress/status, and providing pragmatic technical recommendations when necessary.
Directs activities of contractors responsible for asset integrity related activities. This includes integrity inspection, anomaly rectification, RBI assessment, etc.
Works closely with SSHE, Regulatory and Process Safety functions to ensure full alignment of asset integrity requirements with respective functional requirements.
Works with offshore and onshore operations teams to prioritize and execute asset integrity related work.
4.1 WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Works with Anomaly Coordinator to manage all anomalies that affect or could prevent assets from performing it\'s intended function.
Works with Asset Integrity Coordinator to plan, schedule, execute, and manage all asset integrity related activities.
Estimate annual budget and works closely with cost controllers to effectively manage annual budget against spend and delivering timely and accurate cost information to the Head of Asset Integrity.
5. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Mechanical Engineering, Material Science degree or equivalent, preferably with Honors.
Professional engineering certification, and / or working knowledge with international codes, standards, recommended practice such as ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, ASME PCC 2, API RP 2SIM, API RP 510, API RP 570, API 598, API 579, API RP 583, API RP 571, and any other professional certification related to Integrity Inspection is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years diversified & practical experience in oil and gas industry, of which more than 3 years\' experience as Engineer, Asset Integrity.
Well experienced in asset integrity management methods and techniques including RBI assessment, corrosion control and mitigation, integrity inspection, advanced and specialized NDT, fitness-for-service analysis, root cause failure analysis/investigation, written scheme of examination, turnaround/shutdown inspection scope implementation, and structures integrity inspection performance review and management.
5.1 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Familiar with RCFA tools and experienced in handling failure investigation.
Fit to work offshore in Sarawak and Sabah for any asset integrity related activities.
Knowledge and experience of Asset Integrity Management Software Systems is an added advantage.
Experienced in management of contractors, track record of project accomplishment including high level of safety performance, and leadership of action-focused teams.
Self-motivated, effective, systematic, analytical, and results-oriented individual, with demonstrated ability to meet challenging targets.
Fluent in English language. Articulate speaker. Effective presentation and technical writing skills.
