As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team that services the high-speed networking and data center market.Position OverviewAs a Product Design Engineer this role will support the seamless transition of our products to the production facility. This position requires a proactive and independent professional who can work remotely, taking ownership of tasks and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality.What You Will Do in Your RoleProduction Support:

  • Design control over product in production state. Evaluate request to changes, update and maintain engineering models and documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the production team during the assembly of high-speed electrical backplane cable assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues remotely, ensuring minimal disruption to the manufacturing process.
Process Optimization & New Product Creation:
  • Work with manufacturing engineering with processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Collaborate with the design team to implement design changes that enhance manufacturability without compromising product integrity.
  • Modify existing and create new product.
  • Qualify new products from the existing production lines.
  • Release all engineering models, drawings and BOMs.
Documentation and Training:
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for production processes, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes, techniques, and product specifications.
Quality Assurance:
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to establish and maintain high-quality standards throughout the production process.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the design team to understand product specifications and design intent.
  • Engage with other departments, such as manufacturing and quality, to facilitate a smooth production workflow.
The Experience You Will Bring:Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in electronic component design.
  • Experience using parametric CAD and PLM system.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Proficient in relevant engineering software tools for documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with remote teams and convey technical information clearly.
What Will Put You Ahead:
  • Prior production or manufacturing experience
  • Understanding of high-speed electrical components and related manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T)
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma
