Yup - I really just started my job ad with a basic description of what an engineering lead does. Hopefully that helps my SEO!
But back to the main point - a client of mine; a fast-growing and exciting unicorn tech company is looking for someone like yourself to join the organization and to bring your expertise in people management and R&D efforts to continue to build the dream!
Here\'s what you\'ll need to be to succeed:
- A proven people-enabler, with strong experience unblocking teams of developers and multiplying potential across agile teams
- An all-rounder, someone who has strong experience in not just one domain (i.e. software development), but someone who has worn multiple hats successfully in the past (think DevOps, CI/CD, cloud experience, and more!)
- Someone who thrives in a startup environment - being able to surmount the challenges brought upon by uncertainty; and helping teams to thrive under such conditions as well
- Someone who demonstrates an endless passion toward R&D and innovation initiatives; you should love your shiny new toys, but also know how to balance it out with core business needs
And for you overachievers, here\'s an additional criteria to obtain plus-points!
- Very strong background in OOP development, particularly with stacks like Java or NodeJS or Python (and others) - it\'s far from a strict requirement, but it definitely helps!
And what exactly will your scope cover?
- Managing lean and agile teams across the organization to work on various initiatives including R&D, product development, and others
- Playing a significant role in technical matters such as solution architecture, R&D on new tech, overseeing CI/CD and DevOps matters, and driving technological growth across the organization (all whilst managing various key stakeholders)
