Job Description

Position Summary.



The Engineering Line Leader is responsible for overseeing daily engineering and machining activities to ensure efficient production operations, product quality, and compliance with company standards. The incumbent will lead a team of technicians, manage drawing and design tasks using AutoCAD, and supervise machining processes involving milling and turning operations.

Key Responsibilities.



1. Leadership and Supervision

Lead and coordinate a team of machinists and technicians in daily production activities.

Plan and allocate workloads according to production priorities and timelines.

Supervise, coach, and evaluate team members to maintain high performance and discipline.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.

2. Technical and Design Support

Prepare, interpret, and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software.

Review technical drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with product specifications.

Collaborate with design and production teams for tooling, jigs, and fixture development.

Support prototype fabrication and product improvement initiatives.

3. Machining Operations

Set up and operate milling and turning machines (manual and/or CNC) as required.

Ensure machining operations are performed according to technical drawings and tolerances.

Conduct basic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and calibration of machinery.

Maintain machine performance and ensure availability of necessary tools and materials.

4. Quality and Continuous Improvement

Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).

Monitor and maintain adherence to ISO and internal quality standards.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Promote 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities within the department.

5. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain up-to-date records of drawings, machining parameters, and production data.

Prepare and submit production, quality, and maintenance reports.

Liaise with relevant departments to resolve technical and operational issues.

Qualifications and Requirements.



Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in machining, engineering, or production supervision. Proficient in AutoCAD and capable of interpreting complex engineering drawings. Strong hands-on knowledge in milling and turning operations (manual and/or CNC). Familiar with ISO quality systems, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement techniques
.o Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.o Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities under pressure.

Added Advantage



Experience in CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazak controls).
.o Proficiency in SolidWorks, Mastercam, or other 3D CAD/CAM software.

.o Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
