to join our Secondary School Department on a short-term contract. The successful candidate will teach English and Global Perspectives courses, contribute to curriculum delivery, and work collaboratively with department colleagues to support student learning and assessment during the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in
English
and
Global Perspectives
at secondary level (Year 8 students)
Teach skills including critical reading, writing, research, analysis, communication, and evaluation of global issues
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to promote student engagement and inquiry
Assessment & Reporting
Design and mark formative and summative assessments aligned with curriculum requirements
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students
Maintain accurate records of student progress
Contribute to reporting and moderation processes as required
Curriculum & Department Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the English and Humanities/Global Perspectives teams
Support continuity of curriculum planning and resources during the contract period
Contribute to departmental meetings and planning sessions
Align teaching with school policies and academic standards
Facilitate Co-Curricular activities (CCA)
Student Support & School Life
Support students' academic and personal development
Maintain positive classroom management and a safe learning environment
Communicate professionally with colleagues, students, and parents when required

Pay: RM2,400.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
