CASTconsult Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Officer to join our team in Bintulu. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all company and project activities comply with Malaysia's environmental laws, regulations, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and all other relevant environmental legislation. Maintain accurate environmental records and prepare reports for submission to the Department of Environment (DOE) and other authorities. Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure adherence to environmental requirements on-site. Manage waste segregation, storage, and disposal in compliance with scheduled waste regulations. Promote environmental awareness and continuous improvement in environmental performance. Liaise with DOE, local authorities, consultants, and project stakeholders on environmental matters. Support and participate in environmental inspections, audits, and meetings. Carry out any other duties as assigned by the superior.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, HSE Management, or a related field. Certified Professional Environmental Officer (CePEOEIA) under the Department of Environment (DOE). Familiar with Malaysia's Environmental Quality Act 1974, EIA guidelines, DOE procedures, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).

Contract length: 18 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
