- Display and store approved EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) reports and conditions at the project site office for reference and compliance.
- Supervise erosion and sediment control measures according to ESCP, LD-P2M2 and EMP (Environmental Management Plan) documents.
- Maintain and update the site diary (Daily Log Book) for record-keeping.
- Assist on Scheduled Waste Management
- Conduct daily inspections on pollution control measures, including BMPs (Best Management Practices) such as perimeter drains, check dams, silt traps, wash troughs, and slope protections.
- Organize biweekly meetings with project managers and contractors to discuss environmental management matters.
- Perform in-situ measurements of sediment turbidity at sediment control outlets, ensuring adherence to standards after rainfall events.
- Implement and enforce the '5S' housekeeping practices (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain a clean and organized site from project initiation through completion.
- Fulfill tasks detailed in the EIA Guidelines in Malaysia (EGIM) by the DOE.
- Report any project ownership or management changes to the DOE in writing within 30 days and ensure all EIA conditions are communicated to new stakeholders.
SHO :-
- Consistently monitor and evaluate the project team and contractors regarding Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) requirements, awareness, and performance through a comprehensive OSH program.
- Ensure the sustainable and practical implementation of OSH requirements among all construction site personnel.
- Be responsible for ensuring all project activities comply with quality, safety standards, and contractual conditions.
- Plan, assign, and supervise all safety-related matters and requirements across all sites.
- Ensure that all work sites are safe and comply with CIDB requirements and company safety policies.
- Implement all policies, procedures, and instructions as required by the quality management system.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and health & safety programs for all employees.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct safety audits.
- Advise the employer or any person in charge of the workplace on necessary measures to ensure the safety and health of employees.
- Inspect the workplace to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliance, process, or type of manual labor poses a risk of bodily injury to workers.
- Investigate any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or occupational disease that occurs in the workplace.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain statistics related to accidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning, and occupational diseases at the workplace.
- Carry out any other instructions issued by the employer or person in charge concerning workplace safety and health.
REQUIREMENTS:-
- Candidates must hold a Green Book registration / certificate of related position applied.
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
- Obtain necessary certifications, include CESSWI or CePEOEIA.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, English
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience as a Certified Safety & Health Officer
- Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
