Job Description

Summary

We're looking for a Junior Exadata Administrator to support Oracle Exadata systems -- including compute, storage, and database components. You'll assist senior engineers in maintaining system performance, backups, and security, while learning how to manage enterprise-grade infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily operation of Oracle Exadata systems (compute, storage, networking). Assist in installation, patching, and upgrades for Oracle Grid Infrastructure and Databases. Help monitor system performance and troubleshoot basic issues. Learn and support backup and recovery processes (RMAN, ZDLRA, etc.). Perform basic Linux administration and scripting tasks. Prepare and maintain operational documentation (runbooks, SOPs). Participate in on-call support rotation with guidance from senior team members.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Basic understanding of databases and Linux systems. Eager to learn Oracle technologies (Exadata, RAC, ASM, RMAN). Good communication and problem-solving skills. Able to work in a team and willing to support after-hours when needed.

Added Advantage

Familiar with Oracle Database basics or any database-related coursework. Exposure to scripting (Bash, Python) or automation tools. Interest in system administration, performance tuning, or data infrastructure. Oracle certification or training attended (optional).

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
